Billing/Payment Questions

How do I get my payoff amount?

You can call 302-248-7003 Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm and request a payoff. Have your account number available and we can give you the payoff which will be good between one and ten days.

When will my online payment be posted to my account?

Please allow up to two business days from the scheduled date.

Is there a grace period for late payments?

Payments are required to be made by the due date listed in your contract. Interest charges will accrue on the past due amount and be applied to your account each day, which will increase the total amount you pay on your contract.

May I skip a payment?

In accordance with your contract, you must make timely payments each month. If you believe you cannot make your monthly payment on time, please contact your account manager right away at 302-248-7003.

Why won’t my car start?

Your car may not be starting because vehicles which have loans on them through Atlantic Finance are equipped with starter-interrupt mechanisms. If your payment is past due, and we have not made arrangements with you, the car may be disabled due to a late payment. If this occurs, please call your account representative at 302-248-7003 immediately.

May I change my payment due date?

Not contractually. However if your job or payday changes please contact your account manager.

Do I receive a monthly statement?

No, however you can access your account online at www.myatlanticfinance.com 24/7 for your due-date, payment amount, and remaining balance.


Prequalifying Questions

How long does it take to fill out an onlinefill out an online application?

It takes less than five minutes to answer our easy online application.

How long does an approval take?

We normally make our approvals the same day they are submitted. However, a pre-approval interview is required by the applicant before final approval is given.

If I need a cosigner, does it have to be a family member?

Although encouraged, your cosigner does not have to be a family member.

Is there a prepayment penalty?

There is no prepayment penalty on any of our auto loans.

Do you report to the credit bureaus?

Yes, we report your payment history with us to Equifax and TransUnion.
